Christmas Concert: Dec. 15 is the Intermediate/High School concert and the music teacher wanted to let you know of the dress requirements.
Class Christmas Lunch & White Elephant Gift Exchange – On Thursday, December 15th we will have our class lunch and white elephant gift exchange. We ask that each child bring a wrapped $5 gift for our gift exchange as well as a lunch item to share with the class. Below I have written a class list as well as the item that I would like your child to bring.
Bianca – 300 grams lunch meat Bonnie – small veggies & dip
Bentley – 300 grams lunch meat Ethan – small fruit platter
Felisha – 300 grams lunch meat Collin – 300 grams lunch meat
Noah – dessert for 12 June – 1 dozen buns, sliced
Esther – 1 dozen buns, sliced Spencer – sliced cheese
Blythe – sliced cheese Marin – 2 litre pop or juice
Cole – 2 litre pop or juice Anna– 1 dozen buns, sliced

We have made it to the last week of school before the LONG AWAITED Christmas break! The students worked SO hard on their Rube Goldberg machines this week and they are coming along very well! On Wednesday Mrs. Johnsrude (high school Science department head) will be our guest judge and the students will present their final projects. This is always a fun AND nerve-wracking day! Here are a few items to note for this coming week:
Christmas Wear: From Wednesday to Friday students can wear Christmas-themed clothing.

We had an eventful week this week…snow day, decorating for Christmas, the first week of advent. It’s hard to believe that there are only two more weeks until the break.
Report Cards Coming Home: Report cards are coming home today, along with most of the student’s Term One work. I have kept your child’s writing in their binders – please let me know if you’d like me to make a copy of it and send it home next week.
Grade 4/5 Snowpass Information Letter Coming Home Today!
Sugar Cookie Decorating: On Thursday we will be decorating sugar cookies. I will be baking cookies and bringing some icing. Please send some items for decorating next week!
Missions Fundraiser on December 8th: On December 8th we have the following activities to help raise funds for the missions team.
Rube Goldberg Machines: Next week students will get into pairs, design and build Rube Goldberg Machines. If you have any cardboard, glue guns/glue and other things your child could use to build, please send to school next week. We will begin designing and building next Wednesday and will have ONE WEEK to create a beautiful machine! This will be an exciting week for the students as they attempt to build a machine that has seven steps, three simple machines, and can pop a balloon!
