Weekly Update

We had another great week here in the Grade Five classroom.  With having no breaks in our schedule this month, we’ve been able to work through a lot of content…mixed in with some fun, of course!

Here are a few things coming up:

Class Party on Tuesday:. Students have earned a class party & we will be celebrating on Tuesday afternoon.  The class asked if our Grade One buddies could join us and they will play board and card games with them.  Please send along any age-appropriate games as well as a snack to share.

Calling All Deodorant:  As a mom of three teenage boys, I know there comes a time when the kids need to start wearing deodorant.  For many of the kiddos, the time has come…as is evidenced by the strong smell after our PE block.  If you are okay with your child wearing deodorant, please send along a stick (no spray please) for them to add to their gym bag.  Thank you!

Pay to Wear Casual on Feb 14th:  We are raising money to send our missions trip to Guatemala during spring break and will be having a pay to wear Valentine’s coloured clothing on Valentine’s Day.  The cost will be a minimum $2 donation.

Bible Memory Verses on Friday:  Please remind your child to study for their weekly BMV’s.  We test on Fridays.

Upcoming Dates:

Feb 14th – Pay to Wear Casual $2 Valentine’s Colours

Feb 17th – Pro D Day

Feb 20th – Family Day

Feb 22nd – Pink Shirt Day

Have a great weekend!
