We have come to the end of another busy week and it is hard to believe that we are officially in December!!  There is a lot happening between now and Christmas break so here we go…

Food Drive:  Next Thursday morning we are doing the ‘info drop off’ portion of our food drive and on Monday, Dec. 12th we will do our food pick up.  Thank you for all the offers of help – we have four volunteers on the 8th and six volunteers on the 12th.

Upcoming Christmas Concert:  

Time: 7 PM, Dec. 12th – students should be in their classrooms no later than 6:40

The theme for this year’s concert is “Home for Christmas”, and to add to that theme, we would like the students to wear Christmas pajamas if they already have some. Please do not feel like you need to buy special pyjamas specifically for the concert, any appropriate pajamas or comfy clothes will do. Slippers and bathrobes are absolutely allowed, my only caution is making sure the students aren’t wearing too many layers as it can get quite warm on stage under the lights.

Cookies, hot chocolate, coffee, and tea will be served before the concert starting at 6:30, so please come early to enjoy some refreshments before the entertainment begins.

Report Cards:  they are coming home today!  Please make an appointment through the office if you would like to meet with us.  Official parent teacher interview times are Wednesday, December 7th from 3:30 – 6:00.  You can email Pam at pgoosen@highroadacademy.com if you would like to meet with us on a day other than next Wednesday.

Spelling:  Next week will be our last spelling list before Christmas break.

Monday, December 12th – Intermediate Christmas Concert.  6:40 in classrooms

Thursday, December 15th – Grade 5/6 Classroom Christmas Party (afternoon)

Friday, December 16th – Primary Christmas Concert at 9:30 and early Dismissal approx 10:30

December 17 – January 2nd – Christmas Break…woo hoo!!

Tuesday, January 3rd – Classes Resume
