Friday Update

We had a great week this week!  Service day was a lot of fun and the class did a great job baking muffins for Cyrus Center.  The grade one class also did some baking for Cyrus Center, so both of our classes together sent a lot of delicious baked goods!  The class also had a hip hop session this week, with ‘Wonder Bread’ and Jasmine.  They learned some great hip hop moves and had a lot of fun!

For those of you who like to plan ahead, I have included May’s events into the dates below.  We have a busy month coming up with a lot of different things happening.  I am sure that these last two months of school will fly by!

Dates to Remember:

April 24th – Pro D Day

April 26th – Knight’s Day

May 1st – Lindeman Lake Hike

May 4th – Track Meet at Bear Creek Park

May 15th – Grade 6 Parent Transition Meeting in Chapel at 3:30

May 18th – Art Gala

May 22nd – Victoria Day

May 25th – Beauty and the Beast Field Trip (Lighthouse Theatre Production)

May 29th – Spring Sing

May 31st – Knight’s Day

Field Trips:  Please remember to return both the Track and Field and Lindeman Lake field trip forms.  Students will wear casual clothes for our hike (with good runners or hiking shoes) and their phys ed uniform for the Track Meet.

Grade Six Transition Meetings:  On May 15th the grade 6 students will meet with Mrs. Lade during the day to talk about the transition into high school next year.  After school, at 3:30, there is a parent meeting in the chapel.  If your child is in grade 6 this year, please plan to attend.
