I hope you all had a lovely Mother’s Day weekend and the mom’s were all spoiled rotten!  We have a lot of events coming up so please keep reading!

Art Gala on Thursday:  The art gala and talent show is this Thursday at 6:30.  This is always a great event where students get to show off their favourite art pieces as well as their amazing talents!  We are asking that this event be a more formal affair – I am telling my own kids that they need to wear ‘church clothes’.  A letter was sent home outlining what each class is supposed to bring for the reception.  If each child could bring 2 dozen cookies on Thursday morning, that would be greatly appreciated.   If you have more than one child in the intermediate department then please choose only one classroom item to bring.

Cinderella:  Please remember to send the permission slips back by this Wednesday.

Spring Sing: The spring sing is coming up on May 28th.  Students will be asked to wear their knight’s shirts and jeans for this event.

Poetry Books:  Last call for extra books – order is going in tomorrow evening!  $8 each per extra book.  Students will all get one copy.

Neat Uniform Sale on Tuesday:  Just a reminder (because I completely forgot last year) that Neat Uniforms will be here Tuesday after school.

Spelling:  this will be our last list from the spelling book that we use.  For the last few weeks of school we will be working on the most commonly misspelled words for intermediate students.  The spelling list will be updated tomorrow and put on Spelling City.
