Happy Saturday!  I hope you have a moment to enjoy the sunshine today!  It’s been a busy June so far and the last two weeks of school will prove to keep us hopping with activity!  Here’s a snapshot of what’s coming up over the next two weeks:

Spring Sing on Monday:  We are looking forward to the Spring Sing on Monday.  The concert starts at 2:00 and students will be dismissed at the regular time.  Please have students wearing their regular uniforms for this event.

Intermediate Fun Day: Friday afternoon we will be having an intermediate fun day.  Classes will rotate through a number of teacher-led stations and spend the afternoon having fun together!  Students can wear Knight’s Wear for this event.

Potato Party:  Next Monday we will be harvesting our potatoes and are looking forward to having a ‘potato party’ on Tuesday, June 14th.  I am asking each parent to bring in an item for our party – a list will come home with your child this week.  We are going to be making   Potato sundaes – roasted potatoes that students can load up with a variety of toppings and eat like an ice cream sundae.  ***I would love a parent or two to come in for the afternoon and help me in the kitchen.  If you are available, please email me at pgoosen@highroadacademy.com

Waterslides:  On Wednesday, June 15th we will be heading to the waterslides.  We are asking students to arrive at 8:15 so we can arrive at the park for 9:00.  More information will follow later this week.
